It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Gerald Michael Matthew Teho’nikonhráthe, who passed away suddenly at Kateri Hospital at the age of 58 after a sudden but courageaous battle with cancer.
Gerald is survived by his parents Paul and Nancy Deer, his sister Diane (Darryl), his brother Ryan and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews (Skanaie’a, Akwiranoron, Atewenniio, Ranonhsonni, Tehonwatase, Tehahsi’taieronni, Iakotste’niaron, Ranonsahnirats). He was a cherished nephew to aunties Maureen and Shelley.
Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Special appreciation to the Kahnawake Ambulance Team, the nursing and support staff at the Kateri Hospital and home care nurse Neda Mirzdzaden Moghaddam, who all took exceptional and loving care of our son Gerald.

The visitation will be at Evelyn Deer’s Home on Monday August 5th, 2019 at 6:00pm. A funeral service will be done on Wednesday August 7th, 2019 at the Evelyn Deer’s residence at 1:00pm thence to the Kateri Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tetewatatia’takéhnhahs / We Help Each Other, Community fund raising for cancer patients and their families would be appreciated. Memorial donations cards can be purchased at Peace Pipe Convenience.
